Additionally, most of the recommended places are easily accessed and there is a lot of space to park the motorhome.

Beaches

It is legal to park and stay during the night in a motorhome wherever a normal car is legal to park. Furthermore, it is completely safe and acceptable to park in the countryside and other places (ex. near beaches, municipal car parks, in the mountains etc).
Crete has been one of the best choices when someone decides where to go for summer holidays. The sea, sand and sun elements can be found in Crete. All of the recommended beaches can be easily accessed and most of those beaches are characterized by their natural beauty and not by the high-end tourist infrastructure. Additionally, on most of the recommended beaches there is a lot of space to park the motorhome.
Camping

It is legal to park and stay during the night in a motorhome wherever a normal car is legal to park. Furthermore, it is completely safe and acceptable to park in the countryside and other places (ex. near beaches, municipal car parks, in the mountains etc).
There are eleven official campsites in Crete.There is another one in Paleohora, but the road leading there is very narrow and it is not suggested.

Towns

It is legal to park and stay during the night in a motorhome wherever a normal car is legal to park. Furthermore, it is completely safe and acceptable to park in the countryside and other places (ex. near beaches, municipal car parks, in the mountains etc).
In case you want to visit the towns of Crete, we suggest you specific car parks which are near to the town centers, are easily accessed and it is easy to park (Souda’s port car park is the only one away from the town centre but it has frequent transportation to Chania centre).
Mountains

Apart from its astonishing beaches Crete is also a mountainous island. Mountain enthusiasts have now the option of staying at the mountains. Except from the isolation and the calmness someone can find in the mountains, there are various hiking trails with Samaria and Imbros being the most well known.
